Poland: New Powers for the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP)
From February 2026, the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP) for Poland don get big powers wey never happen before. Inspectors now fit give order to change civil law contracts (Umowa zlecenie/B2B) to full employment contracts (Umowa o pracę) straight, without even needing any court order.
Impact on Foreign Workers:
- Full Protection: Workers go get rights to paid leave, sick pay, and protection from any anyhow dismissal.
- Automatic Enforcement: If inspector see say the way you take dey work resemble full-time job (fixed hours, direct supervision), dem fit force the employer to upgrade your contract sharp-sharp.
